University of Idaho Art + Design Featured Student Profile: Lina Zhao
This exhibition of my design work explores the branding of a Chinese tea company named Tea Studio. The intention of the design work is to adapt the brand to the U.S. market through traditional Chinese cultural indicators such as calligraphy and color schemes. The target of the exhibition is to make audiences who are interested in tea and Chinese culture have deeper understanding of the brand and two special tea blends: LONGJING and CLOVERSHRUB.
The simple and clean style I created draws attention to the logo and tea blends while also providing information of teas, the benefits of each blend and activities sponsored by Tea Studio.
The color schemes I used are the typical color features we could see in the traditional Chinese artwork. It creates the connection of tea and traditional Chinese cultures and is strong visually in order to attract attention.
